Cookie Dough is the base modpack used for all of my Minecraft projects. It serves as a flexible starting point that can be adapted for many different styles of gameplay. The pack works well for simple vanilla-like server play, but it can also act as the foundation for larger and heavier modpacks built on top of it.
The framework focuses on stability, performance, and useful quality-of-life improvements. Core performance mods include Sodium and Iris, providing better graphics performance and shader support. Alongside these are a collection of lightweight QOL and Vanilla+ style mods that improve everyday gameplay without drastically changing the core Minecraft experience. Examples include vein mining, a bridging helper mod, freecam, and other small utilities that make building, exploring, and general gameplay smoother.
The modpack is designed with cross-platform compatibility in mind. Versions exist for the latest commonly used Minecraft releases, mainly 1.21.1 and 1.20.1. It is also structured so that it can work with the major mod loaders used by modern Minecraft: Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric, depending on the specific version or project it is used for.
Cookie Dough can be used on multiplayer servers as well. However, some included mods may not be allowed on certain servers, and they can sometimes be detected or blocked by server-side anti-cheat systems.
Overall, this modpack acts as a clean, practical framework that other modpacks and projects can be built from.
