Ammunition Models

Updated textures for the existing ammunition models and added a large number of new ammo models. Additionally, the positioning groups for bullet models have been reworked to prevent clipping issues when placed in display frames.


Features

Charge-Up / Trigger Delay

It is now possible to configure independent charge-up behaviors for different firing modes in the data files, along with corresponding logic machine/state machine methods. As part of this feature, the logic machine can now also apply temporary bonus damage and projectile velocity multipliers to the current shot.

Loot Table Injection

Added a simple loot table injector. It is now possible to inject desired items directly into the game's loot tables. Usage examples can be found in the default pack under tacz_loot_injectors.

Other Features

  • Ammo Sorting: Ammunition can now be sorted just like firearms and attachments. The default pack ammunition order has also been reorganized.
  • Attachment-Controlled Mount Rendering: Attachments can now determine whether the firearm’s built-in mount should be rendered when a sight is installed via the attachment display settings.

Adjustments & Optimizations

Resource Loading

Optimized the resource loading strategy. Memory usage and loading speed should now be significantly improved when loading large numbers of gun packs.

  • Adjusted firearm sound playback to use the same asynchronous & lazy-loading method as vanilla Minecraft.
  • All official pack assets except sound files are now fully preloaded.
  • Assets from other gun packs (models/animations) are now loaded on demand.
  • All resources for a firearm are proactively loaded when the weapon is drawn.
  • The game periodically scans firearms in the inventory and attempts to preload their resources in the background.
  • Optimized the default pack export logic. Now it will perfer to compare metadata first, so startup speed after the first launch should now be noticeably faster

This feature can be disabled in the configuration. Disabling it will revert to full preloading.

Ammunition Workbench

Reorganized the ammunition category tabs in the TaCZ Ammunition Assembly Workbench GUI into six major categories:

  • "Personal Defense Ammunition"
  • "Intermediate / Full-Power Rifle Ammunition"
  • "Large-Caliber Specialized Ammunition"
  • "Explosives & Projectiles"
  • "Shotgun Ammunition"
  • "Unconventional Projectiles"

This makes it easier for players to locate the ammunition they need. All ammunition slot textures have also been updated to match their category colors. The generic "Ammunition" tab has been retained to prevent crafting issues with some addon packs.

Other Adjustments

  • If the "Bonus Chest" option is enabled when creating a world, it will now contain a Model 943 Revolver and ammunition.

  • Simultaneous playback limits for duplicate sound effects are now adjusted separately depending on the scenario. The limits can be configured in the settings.

  • When opening the Gunsmith Workbench while holding a firearm, the "Filter by Held Item" option is now enabled by default for easier attachment/ammo searching. This can be toggled in the configuration menu.

  • Updated gunpack_info version number -> 1.1.8

  • Adjusted the positioning groups for some firearm rails to align uniformly with the rail surface.

  • Updated the slot textures for the MP5A5 Submachine Gun and Vector Submachine Gun.

  • Improved firing animations for the M134 Minigun.

  • Improved firing animations for the HK-416A5 Assault Rifle.

  • Adjusted handling and stats for the M1911 Pistol.

  • Updated the model for the RPK Light Machine Gun.

  • Updated the extended magazine model and corresponding reload animations for the SCAR-H Battle Rifle.

  • Updated the AUG Assault Rifle model and attachment slots. It can now equip additional optics.

  • Adjusted ADS FOV, magnification levels, and reticle styles for all sight-type optics. ADS transitions are now more nonlinear, and reticles now use a 45-degree angled plate design to prevent dimming.

  • Adjusted magnification levels for some pistol optics to improve sight visibility.

  • Updated the model for the TA31 2x Advanced Combat Optical Sight.

  • Updated slot textures for some optics.

  • Adjusted slug ammunition attachment properties: all accuracy bonuses now significantly improve aiming precision.

  • Buffed the M134 Minigun: improved cooling efficiency and reduced overheating likelihood.

  • Slightly increased the accuracy of the M1014 Combat Shotgun.

  • Nerfed the SPAS-12 Multifunction Shotgun’s semi-auto mode accuracy and armor penetration.

  • Restored the M16A4 Standard Rifle's "old school" style (?).


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing model/animation assets to consume excessive memory.
  • Fixed a potential memory leak caused by sound playback.
  • Fixed a potential configuration synchronization issue.
  • Fixed an issue where optic mask rendering order became incorrect when using performance rendering mods.
  • Fixed animation issues when the M107 .50 Anti-Materiel Rifle was equipped with extended magazine attachments.
  • Attempted to mitigate an issue where playing large numbers of sound effects could cause the game to stop outputting audio.
