Sleep Deprived

Overview

A small mod that gives players a reason to use the bed and sleep.

Current Features

• After some amount of time without sleeping, you will get the "Sleep Deprivation" effect.
• The effect gets stronger over time, progressing through four phases.
• Your stats like reach and movement speed will decrease. You will experience blindness, nausea, and hear strange noises.
• In the last phase, you will take damage (only during night time, configurable).
• Configure the time until you get tired  and length of a phase.
• The "Awake" effect prevents sleep deprivation, currently only obtainable through the "Red Horse Energy" item.
• Drinking "Red Horse Energy" gives you the "Awake" effect for ten minutes. (The "Red Horse Energy" item is not craftable!)

Development Status

This mod is in early development. While it should be usable, it is not well tested. Please use with caution and make sure to report any bugs you encounter on my discord.

There is a "Stick of Tiredness" in the creative inventory. It starts the "Sleep Deprived" effect.

Future Plans

Add some 'hallucination' effects. Implement more ways to obtain the "Awake" effect. Feedback and Bug Reporting

Q: Can I use this in my modpack. A: Feel free to use it, no mention needed.

Q: Will you port this mod to version x.xx.x? A: There are no plans as of now to port to another version then 1.20.1. But feel free to take the concept and recreate this mod on another version.

Q: Will there be a fabric version. A: No, there are no plans for fabric support currently. Like with the versions, feel free to recreate it yourself.
